VMware by Broadcom Partner Program Explained

In the realm of technology partnerships, standing still is not an option. Constant evolution and adaptation are crucial for maintaining a competitive edge and fostering growth. Designed with partners’ business needs in mind, the new VMware by Broadcom Partner Program marks a significant shift toward simplified processes, enhanced profitability, and richer, more tangible benefits for partners.

  Program overview

The essence of the VMware by Broadcom Partner Program lies in its simplicity. Created as a private, invitation-only initiative, the program lays down a unified framework accommodating all facets of Broadcom's CA, Symantec, and VMware divisions, along with an array of partner routes to market.

Its primary goal is to empower partners with lucrative opportunities for profitability through a streamlined model that effectively reduces administrative burdens and financial complexities.

  Even more business benefits

The transition to a new partner program has undoubtedly caused a degree of worry and confusion, but the long-term benefits are set to far outweigh any short-term disruption.

Again, as a direct result of partner feedback, new updates include:

      • A simplified net margin model so partners know exactly what they’re making.
      • Streamlined pricing by moving to just four SKU bundles: VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere Foundation, vSphere Standard, and vSphere Essentials Plus.
      • Predictable partner profitability with incumbency protection and deeper up-front discounts.
      • Streamlined systems and tools with a single online destination for all partner resources.
      • Increased resourcing and support to reduce channel conflict and improve partner and customer success.

Program tiers to suit all partners

The four program tiers (Pinnacle, Premier, Select, and Registered) offer multiple pathways to success, allowing for alignment with partners’ unique business models and goals. From a pinnacle tier reserved for partners that are deeply invested in joint success, down to the foundational registered tier, every level is constructed to incentivise and reward the value delivered to customers.

If your core focus is on delivering service-oriented solutions, you can take the specialist path called the Expert Advantage Partner Program (EAPP) for an opportunity to commercialise services investments in VMware by Broadcom solutions or in combination with your resell and/or managed services business.

  Embracing change for future success

By integrating VMware partners and simplifying its collective approach, VMware by Broadcom is not just enhancing its ecosystem; it's setting the stage for unparalleled growth and expansion into private and hybrid cloud for enterprises worldwide.
Navigating unfamiliar territories can often seem daunting, but change can also act as a vital catalyst for growth and opportunity. VMware by Broadcom’s mission is to reassure and demonstrate that this transition isn't just about change — it's about advancing together towards mutual success.
