Windows Server 2012 – The end is near

With End of Support, (EOS), in October 2023 fast approaching for Windows Server 2012 and Windows 2012 R2 your customers will be facing the tricky choice of either taking the additional costs and the limited security commitment of Microsoft Extended Security Updates (ESUs), taking the (unlikely) risk of not protecting against new vulnerabilities, or looking for an alternative solution.

Trend Micro supported clients facing the same problem with Windows 2008, providing SaaS Server protection that included Vulnerability Shielding. This unique capability delivered not only significant cost savings over ESUs, (typically 40%+), it also enabled them to automatically protect systems whether they knew about the cyber threat or the fix or not, or whether they knew if the server was susceptible to the threat (a challenge for Log4J), with no need for manual intervention, and without having to reboot the Servers.
