Grab a solder-spool refill and never run out of this necessity.
The backbone of all electronics projects, a great option for solder is the 100-g spool form Adafruit. With a “no clean” 60/40 rosin core and a 0.031” diameter, the spool is perfect for any non-commercial project (not lead-free). We do recommend that this product not be used by a novice solderer, as it is very toxic (it includes lead). Do not use without eye protection, because building solder can be highly dangerous, especially to your precious white orbs-of-sight. This solder is good for all through-hole soldering and some larger SMT soldering applications, especially if you are skilled enough to combine using this solder with wick.
