The EPCS16SI8N unit from Intel is a Flash Serial SOIC tube with 16M-bit chip density and 8-pin attachment. The EPCS series are flash memory devices used to store the configuration data that loads each time an SRAM device powers on.

Here are a few of the EPCS16SI8N’s key features:

  • Each unit is reprogrammable with more than 100,000 erase cycles

  • ISP support included (using USB-Blaster, Ethernet Blaster, or ByteBlaster II cables)

  • Operates from 2.7V to 3.6V
