Silicon Labs' UG322 is a expansion/evaluation board for their premier EFM32 starter kits, such as the EFM32 Giant Gecko 11. The board is designed to provide the hardware necessary for controller area networks (CAN) to the EFM32 MCUs, giving them a CMOS barrier that both allows external/RF communications while still protecting the circuit.

The UG322 board contains all the hardware to expand the functionality of EFM32 boards. A 20-pin header connects the CAN evaluation board to the EFM32, and dual CAN transceivers facilitate network transmissions. With two CAN ports for wired connections, breakouts for MCU evaluation and isolation barriers to promote system safety, the Silicon Labs UG322 isolation/expansion board is the ideal way to easily develop your EFM32-based system.
