Hose Assemblies
A hose assembly usually consists of a hose and preassembled fittings at each end. Usually, they are built to certain specifications and sizes exactly in mind for a specific purpose or function. Often a generic hose is used and simply cut to size and installed with the correct fittings for whatever application is required. Other times hoses are specifically molded to a certain shape and then supplied with the proper fittings. This can often be seen in many automotive applications when the engine bay fit is so small and packed those specific routing paths are needed for the hose to function properly. The hoses that can be used for assemblies are usually rubber, but there are some flexible metal hoses available or Teflon depending on the need. Fittings are most often constructed of plastic or metal and are clamped tight, either with a permanent or temporary clamping mechanism. Having them as assembled pieces are very useful in ensuring the entire unit is functioning properly and avoids any possible errors that could arise trying to assembly the hose and fitting outside of the factory environment. 더 읽기 읽기 안 함
