Qualcomm's AR8031-AL1B is a 4th-generation, single port, 10/100/1000 Mbps, tri-speed Ethernet PHY. It incorporates Atheros' Green ETHOS power-saving technology, including ultra-low-power modes and optimized power saving based on cable length.

This PHY is compliant with 10/100/1000 BASE-T IEEE 802.3 and supports standards and modes including:

• IEEE 802.3az EEE (Energy Efficient Ethernet) standard

• 1000 BASE-T PCS and auto-negotiation with next page support

• Wake-on-LAN

• SmartEEE

The AR8031-AL1B runs on a single 3.3V power supply and is suitable for applications such as enterprise, carrier, and home networks, mobile base station and base station controller, and industry automation and measurement.
