Dev Kit Description
The AFE5808AEVM provides a convenient platform to evaluate the AFE5808A. AFE5808A is an enhanced version of AFE5808 and it is recommended for new designs. Compared to AFE5808, it expands the cut-off frequency range of the digital high pass filter; reduces the correlated noise when high impedance source appears; increases the handling capability of extreme overload signals.
The AFE5808A is an 8-channel fully integrated analog front end (AFE) with a continuous wave (CW) Doppler mixer for Spectral Doppler ultrasound equipment. The EVM kit includes the User's Guide, software, a USB cable, and the board comes completely assembled. Users need to provide the input signal for measurement from a signal generator. Users will need to have a method to attach and analyze the data from the AFE5808's LVDS data stream. In the event that the user does not have a method, a deserializer board is offered. This board, the TSW1250EVM, directly connects to the AFE5808EVM and provides the data in parallel form for all eight channels simultaneousl.
