Linear Technology LT1963AES8#PBF Product Description

The LT1963A Series from Linear Tech (now under Analog Devices) is a 1.5A low noise low dropout regulator that is optimized for fast transient response. The a dropout voltage of only 340mV and the ability to supply 1.5A of output current with only 1mA of quiescent current. Also, given their very low output noise, the LT196 series is ideal for sensitive RF supply applications. The input voltage for this LDO can range from 1.21 to 20V and are stable with output capacitors as low as 10uF. This series also features built in safety limits, including battery protection, current limiting, thermal limiting and reverse current protection. LT1963AES8#PBF specifically comes in an 8-lead plastic SO package and is stable in temperatures ranging from -40 to 125C.

Datasheet Snippet: The LT1963A series are lowd ropout regulators optimized for fast transient
response. The devices are capable of supplying 1.5A of output current with a dropout voltage of 340mV.
Operating quiescent current is 1mA, dropping to <1μA in shutdown. Quiescent current is well
controlled; it does not rise in dropout as it does with many other regulators. In addition to fast transient
response, the LT1963A regulators have very low output noise which makes them ideal for sensitive RF
supply applications.
