Use this high side switch AP2511S-13 USB powered Ethernet switch from Diodes Zetex to control which one of your devices draws power. This will operate at a minimum voltage of 2.7 V and a maximum voltage of 5.5 V, making it easy to control the power in your circuit. Its current limit is 3.7 A.
