The Tessel 2 is a versatile development board that can have plug and play modules that can push your projects to the next level that include servos, relays, climate readings, accelerometer, or IR. The board is powered by a 580MHz MediaTek MT7620n processor and complemented by a 48MHz Atmel SAMD21 coprocessor.
The Tessel 2 will need to be powered by a 5V DC micro USB supply. The current that is being supplied to can vary also, depending on what you are making this development board do. If it requires the uses of multiple things at the same time, you’ll probably want something bigger than the 1A starting point.
It has a 10-pin modules that can include accelerometer, ambient, relay, Climate, infrared, servos, RFID, GPS, or DIY
Its USB modules can include BLE, cellular, MicroSD, camera, and audio. It even has community created modules ranging from distance, color sensor, keypad, lights/LEDs, motion, Motors, pulse, screen, and button/switch.Tessel 2 runs JavaScript and supports NPM (the Node package manager)— that's HTTP, Twitter, web server, color, and async right out of the box
