Microchip Technology ATSAMA5D27-SOM1 Product Description

The ATSAMA5D27-SOM1 is a small single sided SOM based on the high performance 32-bit ARM Cortex A5 SAMA5D27 MPU and 1Gbbit of SDRAM that runs at up to 500MHz. This SOM is designed to reduce time to market by simplifying software development and an overall hardware design that reduces PCB complexity and cost. The Module is 40x38mm and features 103 IOs that are all solderable by hand, making this design equally prototyping friendly as it is end-design ready. This module has 1Kb of serial EEPROM, 64Mb of serial quad I/O flash, 10&100BaseT ethernet, and a USB host, device, and HSIC interface. The ATSAMA5D27-SOM1 module can be designed into applications such as healthcare and patient monitoring, IoT secure gateways, human machine interfaces, or building automation.
