From Prototype to Product with the DragonBoard 410c

Published By

Maker projects are fun and educational, but what about those ideas that could be the next electronic must-have? How can engineers invent with an eye to commercial success?

For starters, you may want to examine the commercial hardware options of your development platform as closely as you examine the features of the board.

One of the things we like about the DragonBoard™ 410c, which features the 64-bit, quad-core A53 Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 410 processor, is that it is supported by commercial system-on-modules (SOMs) and single board computers (SBC) made by a variety of providers that have a long history working with Snapdragon processors.

Here is a highlight of hardware options to move your design from prototype to product, all available through Arrow.com:

1. eInfochips Eragon 410 SOM

This module supports low power consumption, connectivity, multimedia functionality, along with solid processing power—all in an ultra-small form factor of 35mm x 26mm. The SOM offers on-chip eMCP memory (1GB LPDDR3 + 8GB eMMC).

2. Inforce 6309 Micro SBC

This product meets various industrial design requirements, such as extended operating temperature range and EMI shields for RF noise sensitive designs. It has the same footprint as that of the 96Boards CE.

3. Intrinsyc Open-Q 410 SOM

This ultra-small (26.5mm x 44mm), production-ready module has an extensive range of supported peripherals and provides the perfect platform for creating low cost, high-performance embedded and mobile devices.

4. Variscite DART-SD410 SOM

A perfect combination of high-performance and low power consumption packed in a tiny 25mm x 43 mm package. This SOM is an ideal solution for portable, battery operated devices as well as multimedia intensive applications.
