International Rectifier Corp. now features new high-side, single-channel gate driver integrated circuits (ICs), featuring up to 600 V blocking and level-shifting capability to communicate reliably between various voltage levels. This allows the gate drivers to be connected directly to the gate of a high-side power MOSFET, while being controlled by the low-side, ground potential circuitry.

Also included in the µHVICTM family are the IRS25751L high-voltage start-up IC; the IRS44273L single channel low-side driver IC; the IRS2505L PFC boost driver IC; and the IR25750L current sensing IC.
International Rectifier’s new IRS25752, and other devices in the company’s µHVICTM family of general purpose high-voltage and low-voltage integrated circuits, simplify power system development by offering easy-to-implement building blocks for frequently used circuit elements.
As International Rectifier’s newest floating gate drivers designed for bootstrap operation, the IRSxx752L series can be used in such applications as pulse transformer replacement and general purpose switched-mode power electronics, as well as high-side gate driver control.
As a tool kit of ICs for common circuit elements in switched mode power (SMPS) electronics, the entire µHVICTM family uses International Rectifier’s high-voltage IC technology to realize multiple functions, integrating robust protective features in a small 5-lead or 6-lead SOT23 (small-outline transistor) package. International Rectifier’s µHVIC family is qualified to industrial grade, is compliant with Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directives, and features moisture sensitivity level 1 (MSL1)—that is, an unlimited moisture-sensitivity level when exposed to ambient room conditions of about 30 °C and 60 percent relative humidity.
International Rectifier’s IRS25752 includes a wide VCC supply range, under-voltage lockout (UVLO) protection and excellent immunity to harsh environments. It features output in phase with input; Schmitt-trigger input with internal pull-down; and superior negative VS transient immunity.
