The Si823Hx GDB is ideal for driving discrete transistors and power modules. This two-channel isolated gate driver solution features a differential digital interface, optimized on-board isolated power supply, and user-configurable turn-on and turn-off gate resistors. Status indicator LEDs and test points make evaluation and prototyping easy.

The Si823Hx GDB is available in three different configurations. They are identical except for the gate resistor value. Choose the 0 Ω sourcing/sinking gate resistor value when connecting the GDB to the Wolfspeed SpeedVal™ Motherboard to take advantage of the gate resistors on the accompanying power modules. Choose the 1 Ω or 4 Ω gate resistor value when evaluating power modules like the Wolfspeed WolfPACK™. Select the 1 Ω sourcing/sinking gate resistor value for the lowest switching losses and fastest possible turn-on/turn-off slew rates or a 4 Ω sourcing/sinking gate resistor value for a more modest slew rate, which may reduce EMI and overshoot in the AC circuit. No matter what OPN you choose, the gate resistors are easily re-worked and re-configured to tailor your specific needs.
