Trying to prototype a full-featured USB Type-C port for your solution? Check out the STEVAL-CCC002V1, the newest in USB evaluation board technology from STMicroelectronics. Based around their STUS1600AQTR USB Type-C controller, STMicroelectronics’ new development board can configure the USB you are testing into a source, sink or a dual power mode.
The STEVAL-CCC002V1 board is built to hold everything you need to prototype your Type-C system. The board holds sink and source power paths with power switches and discharge paths to safely control the flow of power through the USB connection. The board has programmable current limits (up to 600 mA) and the Dead Battery mode promotes safety as well. For additional debugging and configuration, the STEVAL-CCC002V1 is compatible with STMicro’s NUCLEO-F072RB microcontroller board.
The STEVAL-CC002V1 is the ideal option for determining the functionality of your system’s USB Type-C connection.
