USB Type C and USB 3.1 Gen 2 – Clarifying the Connection

USB standards have existed for many years, evolving and improving as technology needs and capabilities have increased. The USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) has recently released specifications for the USB Type C connector and USB 3.1 Gen 2 signal standard (also referred to as SuperSpeed+).

The USB Type C connector includes many feature enhancements over previous USB connector standards.
