Basler’s new development kit daA2500-60mc-SD820-DB8 provides a complete development platform for demanding embedded vision projects by combining high-performance embedded processing and CSI-2 interface technology with standards and features from the Machine Vision world. The innovative product concept, making use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 ISP (Image Signal Processor), significantly reduces the overall processor load of the system and thus frees more computing power for the actual application.

The dart BCON for MIPI Development Kit consists of a 5 MP, 60 fps dart camera module with BCON for MIPI interface and a processing board, equipped with a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 820 SoC. You get a ready-to-go sample setup and BSP (Board Support Package) including all required drivers for Linux (Linaro) and the industry-proven pylon Camera Software Suite. As a result, the development kit offers the same integration convenience for Basler camera modules with MIPI CSI-2 interface as with any other Machine Vision camera interface, such as USB 3.0.

Basler pylon Camera Software Suite for easy development

Basler’s pylon Camera Software Suite provides a user-friendly SDK that allows easy access to the camera. With its universal API it allows for simple image grabbing, camera setup and parameterization. This can be done without further camera-specific programming but with straightforward, well-documented commands. Pylon works in the same manner for all OS, platforms and camera interfaces. And the best part is – it’s free of charge!
