A simple current trigger will turn on this triac T1220T-6I thyristor manufactured from STMicroelectronics and a forward-biased voltage will leave it on. This device has a surge current rating of 95 A. In order to ensure parts aren't damaged by bulk packaging, this product comes in tube packaging to add a little more protection by storing the loose parts in an outer tube.
