Fast and Reliable First Article Process
A First Article is recommended for initial (first time) programming orders. It serves as a test run for the production process to eliminate errors. Usually one to ten devices are programmed according to the instructions provided by the customer. Arrow also accommodates first article waivers for JIT or fast build projects.
Arrow's NPI/First Article Engineers provide consulting support from locations in Asia, North America, and in Europe. All First Articles are processed within 24 hours of order entry; and same day for quick turn New Product Introduction (NPI) builds.
Arrow's Pre-programming Worksheet
Click on Pre-programming Worksheet to link to an order form, which will take you through the required information to complete a First Article. If your information is provided in a different format, the completion of the Pre-programming worksheet is not required.
Upon completion of the form, it will open up an email in your system, which is pre-addressed to our First Article Engineer. You just need to browse your network to attach the programming file prior to sending.

All programming centers are ISO 9001:2008 certified and comply with the ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) JESD 625 standard. Our facilities are also ISO/TS 16949 compliant.
Our tape and reel facilities also follow the EIA-481, EIA-468 and EIA-296 standards.

Additionally, as part of our overall quality control solution, your JobControl parameters, including first article detail, become part of our Central Data Library.
Each of our Global Programming Centers is electronically linked to this library so we can quickly, accurately, and consistently meet your unique programming specifications, anywhere in the world.

Our Shop Floor Control System helps stage production in the most efficient manner, utilizing time standards, traveler documentation, and capacity planning.
