The new LT3932 from Analog Devices' Power by Linear is a monolithic synchronous DC/DC converter that comes with 36V, 2A power switches, and an internal PWM generator. The PWM offers a 128:1 dimming ratio and, if dimming ratios up to 5000:1 are needed, the LT3932 and an external PWM generator can accommodate these needs. All of this and more comes in a compact thermally enhanced 4mm x 5mm QFN package.
