Lighting is an indispensable need for people in daily life. In different venues and different occasions, we need different kinds of lighting to cope with different needs, including high bay with high illuminance and long-distance capacities, and home use down lamp with low illuminance and short-distance capacities. For different purposes, lightings are designed differently. In the trends of energy saving and low emission, traditional lighting system using incandescent light is replaced by LED as light sources. Multiple solutions to satisfy different needs
Lighting application is designed in accordance with the illuminance and distance needed to make different solutions. For example, for the indoor lightings in warehouses, stadiums, and traffic terminus, as the roofs are rather tall, with larger coverage areas, they require high power and high illuminance lighting solutions. Arrow ESC has launched the high bay solution with high output power of 200W, with Cree CXA3050A COB LED as light source and high-efficiency NXP SSL4120T PFC+LLC controller as LED driver. Its light flux reaches 16500 lux, with 5700k of color temperature, drive current of 1.7A / 200W, a 90° reflex reflector, and a lifetime of 25,000 hours.
For regular indoor lighting, decoration lighting, and commercial lighting, these need low-power and short-distance lighting. Arrow ESC has launched a down lamp solution using Fairchild FL77944 as driver, and OSRAM GW PSLR31.EM LED driven by AC power supply directly. This solution includes a minimal number of external components, operated with high efficiency, high power factor (PF>0.98) and low total harmonic distortion (THD<20%). Using TRIAC dimmable (leading/trailing edge), it supports light adjusting using dimming resistor for the applications of different illuminance in different situations.
In addition, Arrow ESC also presents three sets of Fairchild FL77944 drivers and OSRAM GW PSLR31.EM LED AC-driven low bay solution. Its output power reaches 60W, suitable for use in warehouse, parking lot, tunnel, and factory with low ceilings. Possessing the features of the solutions mentioned above, it provides light adjustment with analog/digital PWM. With all the drivers and LEDs placed on a piece of MCPCB, it can be applied widely.
The 30W TRIAC dimmer presented by Arrow ESC also uses Fairchild FL7734 for luminance control. FL7734 is a kind of phase-cut dimmable and single-stage PSR PWM controller that can be used on LED lighting applications. The size of its PCB is just 125mm x 32mm, and it supports input power of 180vac~264vac. With the output power of 37V/750mA, it uses active dimmer control technology to provide ideal light adjusting functions. With high flexibility for design, it has high reliability.
