How to Design an Ultra-Low Power, Robust 10BASE-T1L Sensor Node from Analog Devices

To realize the goal of highly connected, intelligent, and flexible building and process automation systems, a new frontier in connectivity is needed. Enabling seamless, long reach connectivity from edge devices requires new technology and an evolution of the network topology. From sensors deployed in remote, hazardous locations across process installations to edge sensor nodes within buildings, the ability to connect these devices and provide both data and power over 1km of cable will enable new insights, transforming our management practices.

The launch of Single Pair Ethernet, 10BASE-T1L physical layer devices will prove a game changer on the road to realizing edge node connectivity enabling devices to be directly IP addressable. This will change both the control network topology but also the maintenance and deployment burden of infrastructure. New data streams from edge nodes will provide new insights into asset utilization driving productivity improvements and process optimization. This webcast with explore this new technology, discuss the use cases for 10BASE-T1L technology and explore the benefits which can be garnered. It will outlines the challenges to be overcome when designing a 10BASE-T1L sensor node and how best to address these challenges and optimize performance in your application. 10BASE-T1L connectivity promises to extend the benefits of IIoT to the remote corners of factories, building and process plants, where sensors and other endpoints were until now out of reach of the enterprise network.

Join this talk to hear how to enable your seamless long reach connectivity solution today.
