Last week, Arrow traveled with Qualcomm to IBM Interconnect.
At Qualcomm's booth, KineticCare demoed their smart health solution, which is powered by the Arrow DragonBoard 410c and won 1st place at the AT&T Developer Summit Hackathon earlier this year. Check out the video above to learn more about KineticCare's incredible solution and our trip to IBM Interconnect.
Hello, I’m Glenn Carlson, Supplier Marketing Manager Arrow Electronics, here at the 2016 IBM Interconnect Show, one of the largest developer shows in the world. Our relationship with IBM is critical to our electronics. We are expanding that relationship all the time. Arrow can now tell the story that we are now helping our customers from Edge all the way to Enterprise.
One of the demo’s that we’re showing at the Interconnect Show here is a real life platform for connected health connected home, built by KineticCare. They were the winners of the Arrow DragonBoard AT&T Hackathon.
Hi, I’m Jeremy Pursley with KeneticCare. I’m here to show you a quick demo on our Healthcare Hub. This devise collects information about the patient. For example today we have blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature. This is all run from the DragonBoard driving this screen and communicating with all of our IOT outside services. In this case, we have a patient that has an emergency. The system detects that, it give the patient time to respond, if they don’t the system will trigger events that will help them get the care that they need as soon possible. For example, the system counts down. When it gets to zero it turns on all the lights in the house, turns on all the outside lights, and unlocks the door for the ambulance crew that has been notifies. With these connected devices we hope to get the patient the care that they need as soon as possible.
We’ve also created a pill box which is enabled with internet connectivity and tied into our home healthcare hub. It enables you to do things like keep your medication organized. You have one day of the week for each pill section. When it’s time to take your pills, if you do it on the wrong day our system will point out that you may be taking the wrong pills and you take a further look.
GC: It’s pretty exciting to have these guys. There has been a lot of interest so far at this demo. Over here we have another demo, live streaming data at the Arrow Electronics Phoenix based integration center, where we work on customers products. This is all housed on the Arrow connect platform, through the IBM Watts studio. This is real life data that we’re streaming. Just another example of how Arrow Electronics is continuously innovating and things we can do for our customers. This happens to be a smart building platform; the possibilities are endless with what we can do with these IOT platforms.
