William Packard: This is an experience you can’t replace. To intern at Arrow Electronics is an amazing education in the entire electronics industry. You get to see and do so much that you don’t learn in school.
Kathleen Timbol: I went to school at the University of Colorado, Denver.
WP: I studied at the University of Denver.
Brittany Bushacher: I went to Colorado State University and I got my bachelor of science in psychology.
KT: The intern experience brought out the innovator in me because the people, the leadership, my peers helped build my confidence here at Arrow and really taught me where my strengths were and even the weaknesses that I could improve on.
BB: Arrow is a Fortune 150 company. You’re not going to get very many experiences like that and meet the people you have the opportunity to meet here. It’s a very open culture.
WP: They see the internship program as their primary talent pipeline right now, so it was not running and fetching copies. It was not busy work. From day one, we were involved in training, we were involved in the actual the actual work of the department.
KT: They let me be involved in idea generation and brainstorming ideas for the events and marketing campaigns.
BB: I really enjoyed the networking events. The intern kickoff was a great experience to meet a bunch of people and have team building activities.
KT: During my internship here at Arrow, my linked in page has skyrocketed. I’ve met so many young professionals like myself and I continue to connect with them. I’ve also made lifelong friends from all over the country.
WP: I basically transitioned right from my internship into full time. Hi my name is Will Pickard and I’m an Associate Engineer.
KT: My name is Kathleen Timbol and I’m a Global Marketing Coordinator.
BB: My name is Brittany Bushacher and I am an Employee Capability Specialist at Arrow Electronics. I love my job. This is my dream career and I feel like there are a lot of opportunities to grow within the company.
KT: Five years out I know that I’ll be in a leadership position because my career here is being developed and I’m learning so much from the leadership and my peers.
WP: It’s been nonstop and yes I do pinch myself. To think that I’d be well into my first job in my career, be full time, and able able to work on the things that I work on now is better than I could have hoped.
