Typically, applications for brushless DCs can be separated into high voltage and low voltage ones. Based on our customers design, Infineon is able to serve low as well as high voltage BLDC solutions. This in turn provides a flexibility our customers are striving for.

Infineon's portfolio for high voltage solution consists of the RC-Drive Fast family as well as of the high voltage MOSFET family, CoolMOS CE. The RC-Drive Fast family is Infineon's cost optimized IGBT for BLDC motors and offers outstanding performance at switching frequencies higher than 8 kilohertz.

The IGBT entire were optimized to reduce losses at frequencies of 18 to 30 kilohertz for highly efficient inverters. In addition, Infineon is offering its 600 volt, CoolMOS CE family featuring high voltage BLDC designs. The cost optimized, 600 volt CoolMOS CE provides low switching losses paired with ease of use and a fast design-in.

Besides the high voltage solution, Infineon is also serving the low voltage BLDC market. As one of the major players in the low voltage MOSFET market, Infineon can offer you one of the widest portfolios in the industry. It reaches from 20 up to 300 volt and comprises a broad range of packages.

The portfolio of StrongIRFET spans from 20 volt up to 150 volt and starts at an RDS(on) of 0.5 milliohm. Its ultimate ruggedness and performance allow us to deliver more power to the motor. For all high switching applications, Infineon's OptiMOS family is your first choice.

Primarily, the OptiMOS family is designed for high performance applications providing the industry's best figure of merit and lowest RDS(on) for thermally optimized motor control applications. If your motor requires high reliability and high power standards, have a look at the TO-Leadless package of the OptiMOS family which has been designed for high current applications up to 300 amp.
