Description

  • PMP3866, is a dual synchronous buck that uses the TPS40140 to generate 5V@5A and 3.3V@5A. The input voltage range is 18V to 30V. This design is used in a hard drive tester application. The two power supplies operate 180 degrees out of phase with each other to reduce the input ripple current and EMI. The synchronous operation allows for high efficiency (90%)
