ADE9153A: Energy Metering IC with Self-Calibration

The ADE9153A is a high accuracy energy metering IC for single-phase, shunt-based metering applications.

The mSure® self- calibration feature allows a meter to calibrate its current and voltage channels without using an external reference meter. mSure self-calibration supports Class 1 and Class 2 meters. For standards-based metering, customers should verify traceability requirements for their application.

Key Features and Benefits

Self-calibration to 1% accuracy based on direct measurement of the full signal path
3 high-performance ADCs with wide dynamic range (88 dB signal-to-noise ratio SNR)
Extensive metrology feature set supports active and reactive energy standards and power quality measurements

Applications

Energy: Utility Metering
Building Infrastructure: smart lighting, smart power distribution, smart AC plugs, Solar inverters
