ADL6012: 2 GHz to 67 GHz, 500 MHz Bandwidth Envelope Detector

The ADL6012 is a versatile, broadband envelope detector that operates from 2 GHz to 67 GHz

The combination of a wide, 500 MHz envelope bandwidth and a fast, 0.6 ns rise time makes the device suitable for a wide range of applications, including wideband envelope tracking, transmitter local oscillator (LO) leakage corrections, and high resolution pulse (radar) detection.

Fast response Broadband Envelope Detector up to 67 GHz

  • • Suitable for fast pulse and wideband envelope detection
  • • Enables accurate measurement and minimizes calibration requirements
  • • Integrated solution with small footprint

Key Features and Benefits

  • • Only Schottky power detector up to 67 GHz, no other Schottky detector available operating above 44GHz; alternatives have much larger solution footprint, not wideband and lower performance
  • • Fast response: 0.6ns/1.1ns rise/fall time. Suitable for fast pulse detection and wide-band envelope detection
  • • +/-1dB flat frequency response up to 43GHz; enables accurate measurement of very broadband signals and minimizes the need for calibration

Applications

  • • Aerospace and Defense: Military radios and SatCom equipment, short-range radar receivers
  • • Instrumentation and Measurement: ATE, BER testers, oscilloscopes, signal generators
  • • Communications: Point-to-Point radios
