LTC7803/05/19: 40 V, Low IQ synchronous step-down controllers

The single output LTC7803, dual output LTC7805, and triple output LTC7819 showcase the latest technology in switching regulator step-down DC/DC controllers. All products feature up to 3 MHz operating switching frequency and very low IQ, along with PassThru/100% duty cycle capability and spread spectrum frequency modulation.

  • • LTC7803: 40 V Low IQ, 3 MHz Synchronous Step-Down Controller with Spread Spectrum
  • • LTC7805: 40 V Low IQ, Dual, 2-Phase 100% Duty Cycle Synchronous Step-Down Controller
  • • LTC7819: 40 V Low IQ, Triple Output, 3-Phase Synchronous Step-Down Controller

Key Features and Benefits

  • • PassThru/100% duty cycle capability allows output voltages to stay in regulation longer when powered from a discharging battery
  • • Very low IQ increases battery run-time during standby mode
  • • High power onboard gate drives drive external MOSFETs with low switching loss for increased efficiency

Applications

  • • Automotive: Auto connect and Sensing
  • • Industrial Automation: Connected motion and robotics
  • • Instrumentation and Measurement: ATE
  • • Aerospace and Defense: Radar

Evaluation Board

  • • The LTC7803 can be evaluated with the DC2834A.
  • • The LTC7805 can be evaluated with the DC3138A.
  • • The LTC7819 can be evaluated with the DC2897A.
