Switchtec™ PFX/PFX-I PCIe® Gen3 and Gen4 Fanout Switch Families

The Gen3 and Gen4 PFX/PFX-I PCIe® switches from Microchip feature the performance and reliability needed to excel in intensive applications like data center equipment, defense and industrial servers, test equipment, and more.

Gen3

Compliant with PCIe base specification 3.1, the Gen3 switches support up to 96 lanes, 24 virtual switch partitions, and 48 Non-Transparent Bridges (NTBs). Advanced error containment and comprehensive diagnostics capabilities help technicians minimize downtime. An operational temperature range of –40°C to 105°C ambient gives these switches the ability to operate reliably even in the absence of ideal conditions.

Gen4

With support for over 100 lanes, 52 ports, 26 virtual switch partitions, and 48 NTBs, the Gen4 switches add new levels of versatility. With a feature set that is similar to the Gen3 switches, they introduce high reliability and easy diagnostics into any system.
