STMicroelectronics’s SPSGRFC: Easy-to-Use IoT RF Transceiver

Published By

The Internet of Things (IoT) is constantly expanding, and STMicroelectronics‘ new SPSGRFC is helping to expand it. With an easy-to-use transceiver, the SPSGRFC makes the capabilities of a rugged programmable RF device usable by anyone.

The SPSGRFC is based on the robust sub 1-GHz SPIRIT1 transceiver, also from STMicroelectronics. In addition to the options of  433, 868 or 951 MHz, the SPSGRFC provides extra peripheral modules to give it more accessible functionality for users who have little to no experience with RF transceivers. It can also be programmed with a variety of modulation schemes, such as GFSK, ASK, OOK and more. The compact, low-power transceiver module has a variable air data rate (1 to 500 kbps) and up to +11.6 dBm output. The SPSGRFC can help you develop an IoT in your own home, and is useful in industrial monitoring and point-to-point wireless links.
