This is why Pulse Electronics worked closely with IC suppliers and the IEEE standards committee to develop the new IEEE 802.3bz standard for 2.5GBase-T and 5GBase-T Ethernet to support the new WiFi standard that allows for data transfer speed up to 6.93Gbps (gigabits per second) through existing twisted pair, copper cabling.
Pulse Electronics series of 2.5GBase-T Discrete Magnetics is in high volume production. In addition to the 2.5G standard temperature Ethernet magnetics, Pulse has options for extended temperature, greater than 90W (watt) Power over Ethernet, and an Ethernet Connector Module Product Family for both 2.5GBase-T and 5GBase-T.
These products can boost the speed of many Ethernet networks up to five times with no changes to your customer’s cabling. In fact, Pulse parts are qualified on 2.5GBase-T and 5GBase-T at all Major PHY suppliers.
