- AC164130-2, CAN/LIN PICtail (Plus) Daughter Board can be used with either the Explorer 16 Board or the PIC18 Explorer Board. This daughter board is used to facilitate rapid implementation and evaluation of applications that use Controller Area Network (CAN) and Local Interconnect Network (LIN) interfaces. The PICtail Plus interface is used for connection to Explorer 16 Development Board for 16-bit and 32-bit MCUs. The PICtail interface is used for connection to the PIC18 Explorer for PIC18 8-bit microcontrollers. An older version of this board that only supports connection to the Explorer 16 Development Board is still available. The ECAN/LIN PICtail Plus Daughter Board (AC164130) can only be used with the Explorer 16 Development Board for PIC24 16-bit microcontrollers and dsPIC33F Digital Signal Controllers
