Memory components in the semiconductor industry covers two technological areas: volatile memory, including DRAM (Dynamic RAM) and SRAM (Static RAM) and non-volatile memory, including Flash (NAND and NOR), EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory), EPROM (Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) and more. These components represent 30% of the overall semiconductor market today and analysts forecast a big increase in DRAM volatile memory and NAND Flash ASP non-volatile memory in 2018.
