The newest in multitopology controllers is the LT8711 series from Linear Technology.
With a wide 4.5 to 42 V input range, the LT8711 has a variety of available configurations, including synchronous buck, boost, SEPIC, ZETA or a combination thereof. This, along with a couple of robust temperature ranges (extended -40 to 125 oC or industrial -40 to 125 oC), the LT8711 series leads to a spread of applications, from automotive and industrial systems to power conversion solutions. The series also offers a choice of Linear’s signature TSSOP (42.2 mm2) or QFN-20 (12.0 mm2) 20-lead packaging and is delivered in either tube or tape and reel quantities.
