The LTC4372/73 feature low operating current (5uA) and shutdown current (0.5uA) to increase efficiency in applications where the ideal diode is used for intermittent loads or always-on standby channels, such as in battery powered applications in portable instrumentation, automotive and renewable energy fields.
The LTC4372/73 differ in a secondary technical function:
● LTC4372: The LTC4372 shutdown function reduces the quiescent current to 0.5µA (lead part)
● LTC4373: The LTC4373 has a UV pin for undervoltage monitoring while the UVOUT pin provides hysteresis adjustment and status information.
● Low Quiescent Current: 5µA Operating, 0.5µA Shutdown minimizes power loss and conserves energy, which is especially important in battery powered automotive and portable applications
● Wide Operating Voltage Range: 2.5V to 80V supports positive high voltage rails or the return path of -48V rails. Operates through automotive cold crank applications.
