ADC Driver Considerations for LTC2387-18

Precision signal chains are important in many of today’s technology fields. In this video, learn about the Analog Devices LTC2387-18 SAR ADC, plus get an overview of 4 types of circuits that can be built using it.

The LTC2387-18 is an 18-bit SAR ADC featuring a 15MSPS sampling rate with no latency. It is ideal for use in systems that measure high-frequency signals or where fine measurement resolution is needed. Additionally, it has Nyquist sampling up to 7.5MHz, a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 95.7dB, and a total harmonic distortion of up to -101dB.

The precision ADC driver tool, found online in the Analog Devices Design Center, can be used to help design a circuit using this ADC.

Watch this video to get specific knowledge about the design and testing of 4 distinct circuits using the LTC2387-18:
  • 1. Unity Gain Buffer
  • 2. 2 Op Amps + Gain
  • 3. Single-Ended to Differential
  • 4. Fully-Differential Amp
