"Hi, I'm Robert Brennan. I'm a Marketing Engineer in Analog Devices, RF and Microwave Group. And I'm here at IMS demoing our full microwave, millimeter wave 5G signal chain, where we have the evaluation boards and samples available right now to prototype communications 5G systems.
So I have a full solution here from data inputs and output to a beamformed or phased array output. All these evaluation boards and products are available right now in high-volume samples. On the left, we have our data converters or high-speed data converters, so our DAC and our ADC, then we have our wideband up and down converter.
So the wideband allows you to service various 5G frequencies. We have our PLL/VCO which provides an LO to the up and down converter. Then we have the switch which you use to enable either transmit or receive mode, and on the right we have our beamformer or phased array chip, which takes the signal from the up converter, splits it into four channels and has independent phase and gain control on each channel.
Then when operating in receive modes, again, each channel has independent phase and gain control and the down converter is enabled and the signal is received and output through the ADC. On the very front ends, we have our integrated PA, LNA, and switch. And, again, you enable either the PA or the LNA depending on if you're in transmitter or receive mode.
Thank you for watching."
