NVIDIA Explains the AI Computing Power of the Jetson TX2

Published By

The Jetson TX2 module and TX2 Development Kit put the power of deep learning and AI computing in a package the size of a credit card. We sat down with the Jetson team at NVIDIA to learn more.

We met with Jesse Clayton, Sr. Product Manager for Intelligent Machines at NVIDIA, to discuss the vast AI capabilities of their innovative Jetson platform. We break down the Jetson TX2 ecosystem and how it enables users to create projects for deep learning, AI computing, and embedded development.

Artificial intelligence involves using computers to simulate human intelligence. Learning from data — a computer’s version of life experience — is how AI evolves. GPU deep learning is a new computing model in which deep neural networks are trained to recognize patterns from massive amounts of data. This new model has set off a string of “superhuman” achievements in image and speech recognition and sparked the new era of AI computing.  The Jetson TX2 Development Kit is the best place to start your AI computing project.

Jetson Xavier is the latest hardware in the Jetson Ecosystem and packs 20x the performance of the Jetson TX2 and 10x the power efficiency into a single module.  The developer kit is the ideal breakout to start implementing your application on the Xavier Module.
