Samsung ARTIK 053: The Latest IoT Module for Compact IoT Applications

Published By

There’s a new way to power your single-function IoT applications. Introducing ARTIK 053, the newest Samsung IoT module optimized for applications like door locks, lights and sensors.

Based on an ARM Cortex R4 core, ARTIK 053 offers incredible design flexibility along with on-module RAM and flash memory and a complete 2.4GHz Wi-Fi subsystem. The module’s pre-certified RF hardware helps you take your product to market faster.

While ARTIK 053 is designed for smaller applications, there’s no need to sacrifice hardware-based security. The module has a completely integrated security subsystem to keep factory-installed certificates and keys safe, so you can create applications with robust security that truly inspires confidence.

The latest module from Samsung runs Tizen RT, a platform consisting of a compact RTOS with built-in TCP/IP stack. You also get support for LWM2M protocol, plus you can develop for ARTIK 053 using free tools such as ARTIK IDE, GCC, C/C++ COMPILERS, and Open OCD.

If you really want to expedite IoT development on another level, consider leveraging the ARTIK 053 Wireless Starter Kit. The kit includes the ARTIK 053 module mounted to an interposer board as well as an ARTIK Starter Board to make prototyping even more efficient.
