- DRM149, Kinetis-M Two-Phase Power Meter Reference Design. The electro-mechanical power meter has been gradually replaced by the electronic meter. Modern electronic meters have a number of advantages over their electro-mechanical predecessors. Their mechanical construction is more cost-effective due to the fact that there are no moving parts. In addition, electronic meters have one percent accuracy or better in the typical dynamic range of power measurement of 1000:1, whereas electro-mechanical meters have two percent accuracy in the dynamic range of 80:1
