AEC-Q200 Compliant Thick Film Chip Resistors and Arrays by Bourns®: Seven Series for your High Reliability Applications

Bourns® AEC-Q200 compliant model CATxxA series concave and CAYxxA series convex chip arrays are available in two different widths of 1 and 1.6 mm and contain two or four pieces of isolated thick film resistive elements printed onto a single ceramic substrate, making them suited for a vast number of general purpose applications.

The Bourns® model CAYxxA-AS series are the first AEC-Q200 compliant and sulfur-resistant chip arrays from Bourns, enabling operation in certain harsh environments.

AEC-Q200 compliant thick film chip resistors

bourns-CR-ABourns® model CR-A series AEC-Q200 compliant chip resistors are available in eight different footprints from small 0201 (0603 metric) to 2512 (6431 metric), offering rated power from 0.05 to 1 watt. The CR-A series features a wide resistance range from 1 ohm to 20 megohms and is designed for general applications.

AEC-Q200 compliant high voltage thick film chip resistors

bourns-CHV-ABourns® model CHV-A series Automotive Grade High Voltage Chip Resistors are AEC-Q200 compliant, UL 1676 listed, and UL/IEC 60950 & 60065 compatible. Available in five different footprints from 0603 (1608 metric) to 2512 (6432 metric), they operate with high voltages from 200 V for the 0603 size to 3 kV for the 2512 size.

AEC-Q200 compliant high power anti-surge thick film chip resistors

bourns-CMP-A-seriesCMP-A series anti-surge thick film resistors are available in five different footprints from small 0603 (1608 metric) to 2512 (6431 metric). This series has a wide resistance range from 10 ohms to 1 megohm, high rated power up to 1.5 watts and superior pulse load capability. These resistors are AEC-Q200 compliant and sulfur-resistant and thus tailor-made for challenging applications where superior pulse load capablity and reliability are concerned.

Target applications for the CMP-A series are power supplies, snubber circuits, digital meters, LED lighting and control boards.

AEC-Q200 compliant metal foil chip resistors

Bourns-CFN-A-seriesBourns® CFN-A series AEC-Q200 compliant metal foil chip resistors consist of a metal foil resistive element mounted on a ceramic substrate with excellent heat conductivity. The CFN-A series is available in four different footprints: 0402 (1005 metric), 0603 (1608 metric), 0805 (2012 metric) and 1206 (3216 metric). The metal foil resistive element of these chip resistors provides very low inductance, low noise, excellent reliability and very low resistance values down to five milliohms. The low resistance values make them ideal for current sensing applications.

High power current sense resistor

Bourns-CSS-seriesBourns® CSS series electron beam welded shunts are available in both 2-terminal and 4-terminal options. The popular 2-terminal models are available in three different footprint sizes, 5930, 3920 and 2512 (6332 metric) while the 4-terminal design in one size 4026. With resistance values as low as 0.2 mΩ, each family offers a range of low resistance options and power ratings up to 15 W.

Current sense resistors are a superb, highly accurate and attractively priced option to convert current to an easily measured voltage.
