- AN-1589, Application circuit is a high performance, dual-channel intermediate frequency (IF) sampling receiver that is also called a main receiver or diversity receiver in base station terminology. The down converting receiver uses a single IF frequency of 153.6 MHz and includes a dual down converting mixer, a digitally controlled dual variable gain amplifier (VGA), a dual analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and a clock synthesizer
