TE Connectivity is renowned for quality sensing components, including their new SpO2 optical oxygen sensors. Designed for acute medical applications, such as post-operation oxygen monitoring, the sensor system features variable red LEDs with up to 660 nm ±2 nm precise tolerancing. With three different infrared (IR) emitter options (880, 905 and 940 nm), the new SpO2 components are ideal for large volume medical finger-mounted oxygen sensors.
The TE SpO2 components are capable of complete pulse oximetry, a key feature in both reusable and disposable medical sensors. The ELM-4000 is the SpO2’s LED emitter. With a compact (22.44 mm2) package, the ELM-4000 outputs over the aforementioned 660/880-940 nm wavelength range. The EPM-4001 is the associated detector assembly for the SpO2. It has high efficiency quick response to assure precise results in tense medical scenarios. The SpO2 sensor components from TE come in both single and complete sensor packages, and are sure to provide high precision and performance in any acute medical oxygen sensing application.
