Up to 16 Gbps High Speed SMT Connectors
Need SMT connectors that can deliver higher data rates? These Colibri COM Express connectors from ept could very well fit the bill. Featuring a 0.5 mm pitch and 5 or 8 mm board distances, individual options allow you to choose 40, 80, 120, 160, 200 or 220 pins. A 440-pin configuration can be achieved by simply combining two 220-pin connectors with a soldering frame. Other key features include integrated shielding, polarization through the positioning pins, and boardlock for a more reliable soldering connection. Tape-and-reel packaging allows for pick-and-place processing. Perhaps best of all, these innovative SMT connectors have truly optimized contact design, which enables them to deliver exceptional signal integrity at speeds as high as 16 Gbps. In increments of 1 Gbps, choose anywhere from 8 to 16 Gbps. FYI any data rate that’s 12 Gbps or higher is considered ideal for PCI Express 4.0. Pertinent applications include transportation, industrial automation, metrology, medical technology, kiosk and POS systems, consumer electronics and gaming, and facilities engineering.
