The 32-mote SmartMesh IPTM wireless mesh network monitors gas pressure in the gas bunker, and was installed in Analog Devices’s facility without the need for a whole new wiring system. While a wireless network can experience network interruptions in a concrete and metal structure, the SmartMesh IP has proven to be extremely reliable.
To monitor gas pressure levels in their Silicon Valley semiconductor wafer manufacturing facility, Analog Devices installed the 32-mote SmartMesh IPTM wireless mesh network. While this endeavor came with its challenges, Analog Devices' Power by Linear was able to overcome them through non-disruptive installation and extremely efficient networking in spite of the metal and concrete structure the network was housed in.
