The newest in connectors from Molex Inc., the Nano-Fit family, features fully protected terminals combined with both terminal position assistance (TPA) options and cohesive mating for supreme safety, all in a compact package. With options for connector headers and PCB receptacles, discrete wire housings and connector contacts, the EU and China RoHS compliant connector line features a 2.50 mm pitch, a maximum current rating of 6.5 A, and a max voltage rating of 250 V in AC and DC applications.
The Nano-Fit line has every facet of a connector family, each with its own unique attributes to make Nano-Fit a best-in-class line of connectors. The receptacles feature positive locks which interface directly with the headers outside of the terminal housings to ensure that once mated, the connection will not accidentally disengage in strenuous situations. Terminal crimps that interface with the receptacles (with gold and tin plating to best suit your design’s performance requirements) have four points of contact with their respective receptacles to ensure redundancy that give the connector array longer life and reliability. Nano-Fit’s TPA retainers maintain safety, reducing wire backout and acting as a failsafe for the terminal crimps.
The entire family are the smallest fully-isolated connectors on the market, making space saving in your PCB a snap. The family offers options for two to six circuits with single row headers and four to twelve circuits in dual row configuration. This keeps the overall size small and manageable on even the tightest of PCBs. Its small size and high-wire retention makes Nano-Fit practical for white goods, industrial productions, telecommunications and even defense and medical applications.
