MasterGaN is a family of advanced power system-in-package devices integrating a gate driver and two enhancement mode GaN transistors in asymmetrical half-bridge configuration. The integrated power GaNs have 650 V drain-source blocking voltage and varying RDS(ON) across the family from 150 mΩ up to 450 mΩ. It is available in symmetric and asymmetric configurations. The high side of the embedded gate driver can be easily supplied by the integrated bootstrap diode.

The MasterGaN family features UVLO protection on both the lower and upper driving sections, preventing the power switches from operating in low efficiency or dangerous conditions, and the interlocking function avoids cross-conduction conditions.

The input pins extended range allows easy interfacing with microcontrollers, DSP units or Hall effect sensors.

All devices in this MasterGaN family operate in the industrial temperature range, -40°C to 125°C. They are also pin compatible across the range in a compact 9x9 mm QFN package.

Evaluation Boards

  • •  EVALMASTERGAN*: The EVALMASTERGAN1 boards are easy to use and quick to adapt tools to evaluate the characteristics of MASTERGAN and to quickly create new topologies without the need of complete PCB design. The EVALMASTERGAN* boards provide on-board programmable inputs deadtime generator with a single VCC supply (typ. 6 V). An embedded linear voltage regulator offers 3.3 V rail to supply low voltage logic circuit like microcontrollers or FPGA.
